We at Metamorphoza love to explore and use different materials and fabrics and even combine them for an extra avant garde look of our clothing. We know that the design is the heart of the garment, but the fabric is its soul. That’s why we rely only on proven vendors and high quality OEKO-TEX® certified materials.
We handcraft our clothes with great attention and following the best practices in the industry, but in order for your pieces to look in best condition and serve you longer is up to you to take the right care. We would like to present you some of the fabrics we use most often and give you some tips on how to treat them.
Cotton and cotton blends
Cotton is known to be the most used clothing material in the world and for good reasons - it’s natural, soft and breathable. The 100% cotton fabrics are organic and strong, but they tend to shrink with the wrong care and don’t have much elasticity. That’s why there are many cotton blends, in which to the fabrics are added quality synthetic materials with many benefits.
Here are our recommendation for a proper care of different cotton pieces we offer:
- 100% cotton - heavy rib jersey, soft fleece fabric, and other
Machine wash on cold cycle. Tumble dry on a low heat dedicated program. Iron carefully on high heat to remove wrinkles.
- Sweatshirt fleece fabric - 80% cotton / 20% polyester
Machine wash on cold cycle. Tumble dry on a low heat dedicated program. Iron on low heat.
- Cotton jersey - 95% cotton with 5% elastane or lycra
Machine wash on cold cycle or hand wash. Iron on medium heat.
- French Terry - 65% cotton/ 30% polyester/ 5% elastane.
Machine wash at maximum 30˚cycle with mild detergent. Iron on low heat. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry.
- Denim - 100 % cotton
The denim is also 100% cotton fabric, but specially treated to be stronger and durable. One of the good sides of jeans is they keep dirt away for longer, so you don’t need to wash them so often. Use a cold water cycle, avoid the dryer if possible, or use low heat. Iron on high heat.
- Bouclé - 46% cotton / 30% acrylic / 20% polyester
Dry clean only.
Linen is an amazing natural fabric, especially for hot weather, allowing the air to circulate around the skin and keep us cool. Linen clothes require attention when caring in order to stay in the best condition for longer. Hand wash in cool water. Machine-wash on a delicate or short cycle with a cold-water. Do not tumble dry. Linen tends to wrinkle so iron on medium-heat while still damp.
Satin
Satin is characterized by a shiny smooth surface and gives the clothes a beautiful look, thanks to the special way it falls and waves. This fabric can be produced by natural sources like cotton or silk or artificial fabrics for a better duration. In our work we use two types of satin.
- Satin cotton - 95% cotton; 5% elastane
Machine wash on the gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. Iron carefully on high heat to remove wrinkles and reveal the beautiful sleek look of the clothing.
- Moroccan satin - 100% polyester
Handwashing is best and safest. Do not tumble dry. Use the lowest temperature setting and iron the garment inside out with a pressing cloth or use steam.
Viscose and Polyester
Synthetic fabrics have multiple benefits. They don’t wrinkle that easily, don’t shrink, they are durable and have excellent elasticity. In addition the synthetic materials blend well with other fabrics, which allows us to give different textures to the clothing.

Not only does it look exceptional, but leather has numerous benefits as a fabric.
It’s super strong and durable, it has excellent breathability, it’s super comfortable to wear and easy to clean. For our products we use two types of leather.
- 100% genuine leather
Тhe leather we use is classified as renewable ecological products, as it’s obtained from animals that are raised for milk, wool and/or meat. That is a utilization of a by-product that, in the absence of the leather industry, would have to be destroyed, so it is a sustainable choice.
Care for your leather pieces by keeping them away from heat, do not leave them wet and clean with soft wipe.
- High quality Italian vegan leather
The vegan leather has almost all the qualities of the genuine one and is an alternative for those who do not want to use real leather for lifestyle or ethical reasons. Hand wash with warm water or wipe with wet cloth to clean.
